We went up with my wife's extended family to Downata Hot Springs, just outside of Downey Idaho, 25 miles away from Lava Hot Springs.

We spent the weekend up there. They had a decent pool with several waterslides and hot springs.

Just a random note; I drove around the nearby area and came upon Red Rock Pass. That was the drainage of Lake Bonneville. For some reason I was really impressed by that.

Anyways, here's a video from the waterslides, and some random pics.

There's always that one guy with the Dee-Lux setup, blocking the road.

That vulture was perched perfectly on the fence post. I snapped the shot too late.

I have never contemplated my facial expression when riding a water slide until right now. Great TR. That was a lot of fun.

The kid on the right in the last 2 photos looks like my nephew who was at Downata Hot Springs this weekend. Does he live in Perry? His sister spent the night at my house last night.

Could it be???..... :ne_nau:

Odd. Dave is my wife's brother. It really is a small world isn't it.

Next time you are up north, we'll have to go for a bike ride.
