Very interested in bicycle touring. I rode from Canada to Mexico a couple summers ago and am thinking of another trip up in Oregon here soon... If anyone has any questions about bike touring the pacific coast, I would be happy to share.
Thanks,
Dale

That sounds incredible, Dale. I wish I had the legs for it.

How many hours of helmetcam footage would that be? :haha:

I would love to hear more about your Canada to Mexico trip. Do you have any pictures?

I pulled over once in the middle of no where Canada and spoke to a stranger riding his bike from Anchorage to Phoenix. I just saw the man and was immediately drawn to him. We spoke in the middle of the highway for about 30 minutes and I found him to be fascinating.

I have viewed distance cyclists differently since then.

I actually was working towards this for this summer before my accident and still plan on doing it...maybe not this year but definitely next. The plan is to ride to SLC at least once and Vernal too. If I had time I'd head to Zions area but now we'll see. My bro just bought a tricycle recumbent...what a cool ride! I'll try to find some pics. :2thumbs:

I was actually planning on doing the same ride with a college friend of mine this June. We figured about 30 days; we want to take it leisurely but not too slow. That puts it around 60-70mi a day which sounds good. Any advice you wish you knew going in? How available are biker campsites in the summer? Is it possible to stealth camp down on the beach places too?

I'm excited, this should be a lot of fun!
