I'm looking at purchasing a Honda "Big Ruckus," sort of a dual-purpose 250 scoot. I'm wondering how they are for dirt roads, and overall performance. I'm a bicycle guy, but looking at the Big Ruck to save some gas $$$ and don't want to bother with a bike with manual shift (I know, I know...save your lectures).
Anyone have one of these things?

:haha: Sorry I don't have experience with scooters. Except when I see sissies riding them without a helmet. Just don't be a squid: http://tinyurl.com/ys8wo9

It has a 250, so it can go pretty fast. So it's a scoot with a 250. Now HELMETS -- those are for sissies. I have a very very hard head.
I've never been remotely interested in scoots until I saw this thing. It's too expensive, though, so I'll probably go with an on/off road cycle and relearn how to use the stupid shifter thing.

Definitely not the coolest thing in the world but if your past that whole looking cool thing...You can cruise around and laugh at all these Dodge trucks getting 12 MPG. :five:

FUNNY you should say that. I have a Dodge, but it's a Cummins and gets almost 20. Plus, it can comfortably seat eight for dinner.
