Yankee Doodle Canyon

Here are some pics from Yankee Doodle near St. George from last Monday. Slot was completely dry except for a 6 inch puddle near the end that you can skirt around. Cool short canyon. Very easy to find and exit thanks to great beta on Bo and Tanya's site.

Does anyone know what the conditions are like in Yankee Doodle this time of year? I'd like to descend it next weekend (March 12,2011) and was wondering if anyone had any insight into what to expect from the water conditions.

I was down there a couple months ago and it was fairly dry, I passed the info to Bo who had some friends going, maybe Bo has more recent info.

Raining right now in St. George, seems like it would be full this weekend?

Snowing here on the east side of Zion! I loved doing this canyon with Bo! It was a blast! Love all the little downclimbs.


Did not love the wading in COLD water part BBBBBBBBBBRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!! :cold::cold: This was us. :lol8:



Wow! That canyon never looked so good as it does in those shots! IMPRESSIVE!
