Just got home and don't have much time to write a trip report. So I will write one some other time. This was my second trip through Mystery, and first one since November of 2001 via Weeping Rock trail head. This time it was from the East Mesa Trail, which was a ton easier. Though as someone told me, you have never done Mystery until you've approached hike from Weeping Rock.
Met up with Bo & Tanya on this trip for the first time ever. Both are way cooler in real life. My friend Karl and I carried and handled the ropes while Bo rested his shoulder. Karl and I learned from Bo this trip. And he said he did from us :ne_nau: Must have been like what not to do :haha:
The highlight of the trip is when Tanya came out of her shell and dissed me real good. I have a big bulky pack that gets in the way on some rappel starts. (I need to buy a new pack). Tanya without a pack starts out easy and says "What awkward rappel?" :lol8: And to think I had power to put her in the drink at Mystery Spring and I didn

Awesome pics, I need to get back into Mystery when it's not so hot. I've done it once and it was miserable, no relief until we FINALLY hit the spring. We did it from Weeping Rock too so that added a bit to the heat exposure (although if I do it from the top I'll just sit here and complain about the car shuttle :roflol: ) I'll stop my whining now.

Bunch of new glue-in bolts in there, from last year. Anyone want to own up to 'em? An impressive amount of work.

Bo and I noticed the same thing (glue-in bolts). Some drops had two sets of bolts (4 total bolts). The last drop, wow that is an awkward rigging. I'm no expert but I've never seen an equalized anchor where the bolts are so far away from each other vertically. One chain hangs down while the other chain has to go vertical to meet the end of the first chain.

But only flattering ones. Those are not. :eek2: :eek2: :eek2: Don't you know you only post flattering photos of the females. :lol8:
Women    There is nothing wrong with the pics of you IMO. All I see is a cougar on the prowel. :haha:
Coming down into the narrows you yelled something at Karl and I and we couldn't hear. We thought it was to take pictures, but it turns out you told us not to take pictures of your butt. Since we didn't hear Karl unpacks his camera and takes pictures. :lol8:
If you want the pics gone I'll get rid of them. BUT NOTHING IS UNFLATTERING.
