Hi my name is Nick (23). I just finished my thesis and am three signatures away from getting a MS in geology from UC Santa Barbara. So finally some free time to participate in this board or better yet, go outside!!!
My main interests are caving, canyoneering and photography but also backpacking, rock climbing, mountain biking, surfing, mountaineering, kayaking, hot springs, frisbee, etc, etc. I've been an avid caver for many years (mostly in CA, KY, and NZ), but have only within the last several years been turned on to technical canyoneering, which is great stuff! It's like caving, but less suffering. : )
I expect to spend a good portion of the summer on my beloved Colorado Plateau, canyoneering and backpacking in the time between a couple expedition caving trips. I'm particularly hoping to become more active in the canyoneering community.
I've been a SoCal native nearly my whole life but am hoping to immigrate to UT, AZ, NM or CO so if you need a geologist...
:blahblah:
Anyways see you all around! -Nick
