Hey, My name is Mike. I've been canyoneering for about 3 years now. I've seen quite a few places. I like the canyoneering community, but I think it has its flaws. I've had opportunity to take the classes to become certified in this, that, and the other but never have. I don't see the point. I've been well trained and led many trips. I'm always down for a trip to anywhere. I'm 6'2" and what people call a 'large-frame' canyoneer. It's tough to pick a favorite canyon, but I really like Neon, as well as most of Robbers Roost.

welcome to the forum!
PS, don't tell the canyoneering community that they have flaws, they think they're the only ones on this forum. :haha:

Ha! Welcome, Mike!
Let's see, I'm between 6'1" and 6'2", but I weigh 215, so am well beyond the average size for spelunking and canyoneering, but I do it anyway.
Most every group has their hang-ups. ATV'ers, 4Wheelers, cavers, peakers, skiiers..
Most are snobs, but sometimes, you just meet the right kind of people that are just so awesome that you can consider them family..
I've not met them yet! :ne_nau: At least since my Army days! :roflol: :roflol:
Let the good times roll and do your own thing!
