I should have posted this earlier, but I have been procrastinating it for some time now. In march I spent my spring break around Sedona, AZ.
We hiked some of Oak Creek Canyon, but unfortunately not nearly as much as I wanted to. We went early in the season, so further up the canyon there was quite a bit of snow, At one point we were sinking in up to our knees in a deeper snow drift. There are many river crossings with simple rock or tree branch bridges, but I would absolutely recommend river walking shoes.
We only made it up about 2 miles due to time constraints, but it was still a great experience. I will definitely be going back there to hike more in the canyon and the area.
