3 Utah cities high on worst-air list
5 counties receive failing grades for pollution, high ozone

Three Utah cities were among the worst in the nation for short-term particle pollution, while several counties in Utah received failing grades for high ozone days and year-round particle pollution, the American Lung Association's 2008 State of the Air report found.

Not hard to believe. When I go hiking and get some elevation. Looking down on the valley, espically towards Layton the air is a nasty yellow brown.

Too bad I have to hike back down and breathe that stuff.

A city 10 minutes away from me scored, not surprising. It's the furthest out being lumped in with the other two, so maybe I'm on the cleaner side :haha:

:eek2: SLC/Provo area is awful! I can see SLC area nested in that valley, but why Provo?

Yeah, I think I have to move again. It's pretty clear outside now but our offices are all smoky. I guess it's from all those fireplaces going up at night.
