You plug your address in, and it rates the walkability of your house (i.e., how much is within walking distance).

I got 62 out of 100. Logan is one of the towns you don't really need a car (if you work in Logan).

What does my score mean?

Your Walk Score is a number between 0 and 100. The walkability of an address depends on how far you are comfortable walking

Nobody beats me, 100 out of 100. I live a block from work, a block from the gym, 2 blocks from Albertsons and I have tons of bars all over. If I didn't have to shuttle my kids around I could go car-less.

au contraire, i'll submit that someone beats you if they DO go carless.

They pegged it, I drive or bike everywhere I go, I just thought I was lazy but now I know, it's not my fault :haha:

I did think it would score higher since I live in Fort Union :ne_nau:

I think the only thing that saved me from a ZERO was the county Library is .9 miles away.

32...pitiful. The nearest public ANYTHING is 1 mile away, and it's an elementary school. The next nearest thing is a gas station and it's about 2.5 miles away.

It's a relative number anyway. At one point Utah was within walking distance of Ohio. People are so lazy.

54 out of 100 in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. I live on the Southern most side of town. Our town is about 3.5 miles long (big city). So it's all relative.

Why do you guys get an 8 and my parents got a 3? I know their much closer to town than you are, but they didn't even list the Country Corner. I got a 62, thank god I thought I was going to have to sell my cars.

I think that Google probably just assumes that anyone living in a town called Toquerville would just be too lazy to walk anywhere :toker: :bandit2:.

Hyde Park bench: 3

There's a Maverick a little over a mile away but they don't sell beer. :lame:

Everything else is two or more miles away and that's OK with me. I live right next to the cemetary, quietest neighbors around, and my full fendered touring bike handles the trip there in 8 minutes and the trip back in 12 with a full load of groceries.

Even if they did it's still Utah beer-
If I do run out , which has not happened in a very long time, Hyrum at least sells it on Sunday now and I can cruise the back roads on a bike pretty quickly if need be.
