I heard it was going to rain today, but I don't care. I've gotta ride.

Mark and I will be hitting the shoreline trail around 4:30. We'll be starting at 22nd street and making it up as far as we can.

I'm hoping we can at least make it to Strong Canyon before the snow stops us.

Then from here on out, I'd like to ride every Tuesday. It won't be this early for long, as I'll have another job for the summer.

Lonely, but still a good ride. The trail was actually clear of snow for most of the way. On the south side of Waterfall Canyon, the snow was very deep and difficult to walk through for about 100 ft. Series of small slides had occurred, and it was even difficult to see where the trail went.

But hey, I tried out my new camera and helmet cam mount. :2thumbs:

Turn the volume up at 40 seconds.

I'm such a wuss. I could've chosen mt biking with sombeech, or trail building with Weber Pathways (currently trail building happens every tuesday at the new North Ogden Divide trailhead at 5:30 ;) ;) and instead I worked out inside where it was nice and warm. Damn snow.

So you were by yourself? Sweet pics though.

So you were by yourself?

Yep. I saw a lady and her dog, and I thought SHE was crazy.

It snowed pretty good twice while on the trail tonight. I should have brought my ski goggles.

So did you have headphones in or was Mr. Astley just on the brain?

Great vid, where is the mic mounted? Sounds like it was rubbing on something or bouncing on your helmet? Or is the mic integrated directly on the cam?

Mic is inside the camera, it's just a P&S camera with built in mic

It's just a still camera in movie mode. It definitely was a bit noisy, I think that may have been the wrist strap slapping around in the wind, too.

Tonight I'll take some pictures of my helmetcam setup. It's definitely the most simple one to date.

And no, I didn't have headphones. I figured this video was just a test, so I decided to Rick Roll you all. :bootyshake:

Justin, I just twisted the strap around the tripod stand so it wouldn't flap and get into view.

Hey, by the way, I put part of my helmet in the frame on purpose. I felt that it would give some stability to the frame, since I didn't have a biker in front of me for the viewer to focus on.

What do you guys think? I guess you can't tell without a parallel comparison, but I think a static object in the frame really prevents dizziness.

Thanks for ruining the trail and making it worse for all of us who care about the trail system and wait untill the trails dry out..... J/K I was waiting for a post like that to show up. Man this snow is killing me but I won't ride untill it is dry because I hate the mud, it screws up my bike and I don't like it! Nice vid.
