Anyone been out that way yet this year? Conditions? I am wanting to hike it sometime this spring and would appreciate any beta that anyone could share.

Sorry, I haven't been up Notch Peak in a couple years, but here's a trip report someone posted from a March 28, 2008 visit.

that would be a nice backdrop for you to video tape your throwing technique in front of your van.

I think right now would perfect for hiking Notch. I did it last year in February and in places snow was up to our waists, but it was in scattered sections.
I would definitely go check it out soon before it gets hot. Read the Summitpost TR's and you should be able to get any important beta ya need. I wrote the one about climbing Notch Peak in Winter.
There really isn't a trail, so you just get a good topo map and head up the mountain. Any safe route you can find would work.

And then you could go and catch a delicious bass for dinner. Just watch out for the Ligers, they are scary.
