Resort development has been going on here since 1956, and now it is one of the most popular destinations and a beautiful place to live. Unfortunately, traffic appears to a major problem.

I've been to Hilton Head once when I was a teenager. Now I do a yearly fall trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C., which I thoroughly look forward to.

We're visiting towns along the coast only as far as Charleston. Then it's inland to the mountains of SC and GA.
