So, I get asked ALL THE TIME by every one of my friends and relatives to "keep an eye out for a good deal" on a mountain bike.
Well, I don't see these deals, because I'm not shopping for a bike.
So, I took a glance at the 500+ mountain bikes for sale on KSL Classifieds, and wondered if it would be worth it to start a thread for decent deals found there.

So anyways, maybe this thread will fizzle out, but the bottom line is, anybody should be able to get into mountain biking with us once a week.
I only surfed around for 5 minutes to get these. I never went above the $300 range. I'd suggest even looking into the $500 - $600 range if you are an intermediate rider.
