I just finished cutting all the pockets off my clothes, all the tags of gear, and cut the handle off my tooth brush now they want me to carry a Bear Can too!
Guess its just one more reason not to sleep in the Tetons. As if the list of reasons needed to get any longer.

Here is what the GTNP website said

First they make us carry "Restops" so I guess its natural that they make bears carry "Bear Cans" :haha:

I know what you mean though. I've only carried a can once and that was on Mt. Whitney when we did the East Buttress. What a PAIN! We camped at 12,800'. I didn't see a bear the whole time! When I got back to the Portal though...there must have been a lot of bears around. 3-4 vehicles had the windows smashed out. :ne_nau:
