it's actually very well documented in brain science that through attention we are only actually aware of a very small subset of our surroundings and what occurs around us (of course some of us more than others). this is further enhanced by the fact that we have a fovea (spot of high visual acuity) which concentrates our visual awareness on certain points in space.

I participated on the UofU study of the cell phone conversation effect on driving with the Psychology department. It was amazing to see the results of how much tunnel vision we go into when our attention goes somewhere else, such as conversation on the phone in our study.


This is very similar to that, great find, thanks

I was trying to count when all of a sudden there was a freaking bear in the middle. I lost my concentration and focused on the bear :haha:

Says the man whose signature, I assume, suggests that Bears throw beets (a vegetable), at Battlestar Galactica. Really kind of silly if you think about it. A bunch of bears throwing bright colored vegetables at the television.

no. Don't you ever watch the Office. Dwight has a beet farm. Hence the reason Jim says bears, BEETS, battlestar galactica. All things Dwight is interested in. JACKASS!

That test is awesome! I missed it completely and actually had to watch it a 2nd time cause I didnt beleive it was the same video in the replay, lol.

I missed it too! That is scarey! There is no way we could be standing in front of them and miss it right? It's just because its on video?
