Who has hiked the rainbow trail or other close canyons around Navajo Mountain(nasja, cha, bald rock)?

I know Stefan and Nat have explored the area more than I have but I went with Nat two springs ago up the Moki steps in Nasja and explored the areas above. AMAZING country, some of the biggest sandstone walls I've seen outside of Zion (all of them off trail). I really need to plan another trip out there, really good stuff! Endless off trail slickrock scrambling and apparently some non-tech sandstone peak bagging.

Sorry no, my camera drown in Imlay Canyon like 3 years ago and I STILL haven't bought a new one. Stefan took some on one of his trips and posted them, I found his TR in the Backpacking index:

I might be able to scrounge up some video footage, but there isn't much. I'd like to do an extended backpack down there, maybe this fall.

I did the North trail as an in and out to Rainbow Bridge a few years ago. Great country, some of the best scenery anywhere IMHO. Navajo Mtn had snow on it, and here you are hiking in shorts and tshirt. I went in late spring and had plenty of water in all the drainages.
See my webshots page; I have an album up for Rainbow Bridge.

It will be a lot easier with a GPS.

First time we did it around 77 the sheep trails became a problem and we were seriously lost a few times. More sheep than hikers in those days. My last trip was 96. Not much had changed.

Its a great trail, not hard, very scenic.

All my pics are regular film prints. Not quite sure where to look for them right now.
