Wow, already? It says it's available for download now too. Jeez...

Hopefully it will be a better secondary browser to Firefox. :lol8: Actually, it looks like it passed the Acid 2 tests better than FF.

I must say, I'm intrigued... So, I've made a Ghost checkpoint and I'm gonna test it out. We'll see how she does. :comppunch: :haha:

I never use IE so I figured I would check it out. I like the quick tabs featured (different from "tabbed browsing") but I tried using it for 10 minutes and it kept failing on a lot of pages. I have SP3 for XP and I downloaded the SP2 version. I don't know if that is causing the failure... but there was no SP3 version available.

Long story short, it seems cool but it is not stable enough and I just don't think I can ever replace FireFox with IE because I enjoy free extensions on Firefox, but I hate that you have to pay for so many extension with IE.

This is true for any microsoft product not out for at least a year. Yes?

IE 8 is still in beta.
I use firefox for all of my personal browsing but I do need IE for work... Our software is ASP based and Firefox is not always ASP friendly.

Some reports are saying the Firefox beta is about 80-90% on the ACID3 test, which is much more stringent than the ACID2 test. I'm not sure where IE8 rates on the ACID3 test to compare.
