With an estimated 10,000 snow geese in Delta this weekend, there's probably a pretty good opportunity for more bird shots. Lissa, Rosie and I may make it down on Saturday afternoon. (I should just sign my paycheck over to Pictureline.)

Right now the Saturday forecast is for mostly sunny skies, with a high of 59

It wasn't the bounty of awesome pictures that resulted from Farmington Bay, but I did manage to get a few decent shots. Unfortunately the weather didn't really cooperate: overcast skies, windy, cold. Not the ideal conditions for a family outing.

There's more here (http://flickr.com/photos/kris247/tags/snowgoosefestival/).

My camera had a hard time getting autofocus with the Canon 300mm IS lens that I rented. A few weeks ago with the 100-400mm the AF was quick, but with the 300mm it took literally seconds for the autofocus to find a lock. I'm guessing it was because my body (Rebel XT) had a hard time finding what mostly white object on a mostly white background to focus on, but my buddy's Nikon D80 had no problem. Weird.

Awesome! Congratulations on the little one - it's a lot of fun. Although a little less fun at 3:30 AM.
