Taking the Mormon out of me is like taking the Pimp out of the Hammer. I like the Mormon belief system, I just don't go, I noticed they didn't ask anything about 10%, that probably would have bumped me into the Mainline Liberal Christian Protestant category...

What I find funny is that those of you who have the LDS religion so high in their lists have Jehovah's Witness very close behind. For as much as the two religions bash on each other, they are remarkably alike.
Kind of like Papists (I mean Catholics) and Episcopalians.

No surprise for me here! The last church I went to (twice...a few years ago) was a UU church. And buddhism has always struck a chord with me -I greatly admire and respect their philosophy as it is truly non-judgemental. Problem is, I am not a vegetarian and I do like to drink alcohol on occasion, and I do have the occasional impure thoughts and desires, so I couldn't commit to buddhism.
Tanya and Mountain Betty: the Jehovah's Witness folks don't make any headway with me, either, but that didn't seem to stop 'em from coming back. Maybe I should print out this list and show it to them - they are dead last on my list! :haha:
I've always wondered just how successful those peddling religion door-to-door are. :ne_nau:

I agree with Buddhist philosophy most of all. I was a vegetarian for quite a while and did attend weekly meditation followed by an hour of buddhist lecture/discussion. I did this for several months. But dangit! I was having visions of burgers and beers.......it just didn't work out. But to this day, I feel it has given me some advanced guidelines to live my life and to be kind and respectful to life in general. :2thumbs: :lol8:
