Anyone know what things are like in Moab? How much snow on the ground? I really want to get back down there but it's impossable to play on slickrock when covered with snow.

I was in the roost and swell 2/10-2/12. The roads were partly snow covered mainly on the north facing parts. At night my Subaru outback had no problems getting the Hidden Splendor and Mindbender trail heads. As the sun came out it made the roads really greasy. It cost me about 16$ at the car wash to get all the mud off my car but, I did cover about 100 miles of dirt roads so what can I expect...
As for the Mindbender. It had a lot of snow in it!! It took along time just to work our way to the first rap. We chickened out and exited the canyon. We then hiked down to check out the moki steps exit. That hole face had about 2-3" of snow on it. I was glad we turned back. That would have been one hell of an exit... The snow was mainly located on North facing stuff and anywhere from a couple of inches to about a foot in depth. Anyways hope this helps

Conditions are standard for this time of year. A liitle snow on north facing stuff and nothing on south facing, roads are good when frozen and muddy when thawed. Eveything was melting this weekend.

I just got back from golfing 18 in Moab. Around 45 degrees and very nice. A great time for hiking although there will still be some mud and snow.

Was just in Moab this past weekend with my kiddos. Needed a breather from the mountains and needed to see some red rock. Weather was OK.....gloomy mornings around 45 degrees but sunshine broke thru after noon and was close to 60. No real big snow except on the La Sals and no mud that I saw. Spring is coming fast though. HURRY!!!! :)
