If you have a website of any type; blog, myspace, facebook, photo site, YouTube, personal site, ANY type of web space. Bogley would like you to place a link on your site pointing back to www.bogley.com (http://www.bogley.com). This will help spread the word to anyone that visits your site, which will in turn bring Bogley more valuable contributors (members) and also help increase our search engine rankings. So please place a text link on your site using the tagline, "Bogley Outdoor Community (http://www.bogley.com)." you can also use one of the provided logos if you wish. The most important and simple part is the text link. If you don't have room or don't wish to use the logo, just give us an old school link. We all use Bogley and on occasion link to our personal websites for various reasons. We only ask that you return the favor, that's it! Remember, Bogley is about sharing information. . .so spread the word.

Once you have added a link to Bogley on your site, post a link in this thread. We will all give you a cyber high five for doing your part to spread the word and supporting this great outdoor community. Of course, don't forget to spread the word via "word of mouth" to your friends and family as well.

Thanks for your support! :2thumbs:

If you need help sizing the logos or treating them a different way for your website. Please send an email to: admin@bogley.com

Cool. One more note is, unlike other forums, we actually welcome links to everybody's personal website or favorite forums. This is frowned upon in most other forums, for fear of "competition".

We see it as sharing relevant information, there are no enemies here.

So in the spirit of welcoming your links here, all we ask is that you link back to bogley too. :cool2:

Good for you! I never was a hardcore smoker so I don't know what it's like to quit, but I hear it's very hard to those that have a true nicotine addiction. SUCKS!!!!!! I know people to struggle with it and I feel really bad for them.

Stay strong bbennett. I was surprised my cravings were not as bad as the first time when I quit. But yeah, having nothing to do does make you think about stupid things, like smoking ;-) Just remember, it's killing you, it's expensive, and the ladies don't like it.

Thanks Abirken and Kapitan. And huge congratulations to you KapitanSparrow for a good 3 months. I'm sure you're already starting to feel better. Keep it up!

Honestly, I don't think I'll cave to the cravings because I also remember how stupid I felt doing it. In fact, a couple of months after I quit, in a post coital, "alcohol induced activity", I tried one just to see what it was like. I remember vividly how shitty it tasted and how nauseas it made me feel. I was actually perplexed as to how I got past that and started in the first place.

Another good reason to link to Bogley.

Link to other high-quality sites.

Well-crafted, relevant links to great sites can impress both your visitors and the search engines.
Link to other web sites? Won't linking out make me lose business?
No way! You can improve your visitors' experience and your own credibility by adding carefully chosen links from your pages to complementary content on other high-quality web sites. The more relevant and specific your links, the more relevant and valuable your own site will seem, and the more likely your visitors will be to return.
Great links can also help influence your reputation with search engines. Like your readers, search engines tend to appreciate links to other great sites, and can be turned off by links to irrelevant or poor sites.
Hint: Including pertinent keywords in the link itself can not only help your reader decide if the link is worth clicking; it may also help influence your rank for those keywords in search results.

Link building is so basic...tried and true. Getting your content on other websites is becoming the new trend that Google is factoring into their algorithm. Google looks at websites very similar to how a user would look at a website. Social networks, blogs and forums like Bogley are a great place to not only link to, but to also place your content and links. The content along with a link is more relevant to an actual user and will get you more clicks, which makes your site look more important. The more content you can place on other properties the better...thats why social networks and forums are so valuable. However, Google is now penalizing old school linkbaiting...old tactics. You really need to do what will give your site the most traction with other websites...it's not just about links anymore. Google gives high pagerank to the most relevant content related to a search...along with the popularity of the property...along with a dozen other factors.
