If you have kids, this WILL happen to you. So you are aware, I found a solution which worked pretty good.
Background: A kid + a bath + a full bottle of liquid soap = A BUBBLY HOUSE! Yes, when a kid dumps the whole bottle of the liquid soap into the bath and then pulls the plug to drain the tub, while dad is sitting on downstairs king throne hearing the bubbles coming up from down below, that means bad news!
Yelling at the wife to stop the drain the bath 1 minute into the action is TOO late, I repeat, 1 minute is too long to fill up your house plumbing with pretty white bubbles. After 1 minute your downstairs bathroom will overfill with pretty white bubbles, your bathroom floor will be next, if no towels applied fast enough to stop the spread of the bubble attack, they will spread into your family room.
After evaluating the problem and scratching your head standing on knee deep bubbly mess... I figured out a solution!
What you need: 1 gallon of white vinegar and 1 full pack of table salt. Mix the two together and pour half into the toilet and 1/2 into the bath, then slowly start draining the bath. After the tub is finally drained, run the cold water for about 30 mins, to hopefully break through to the main drain.....
So it goes....
And no, I didn't take any pics I was freaking out about what to do....
