OK, so I just watched this movie. I thought it was excellent. All but the last 25 minutes.

SPOILER ALERT BELOW

OK, so after the main character dies (which it doesn't even show), the story just goes somewhere else. You never really find out what happens with the money, the killer walks away with a compound fracture in his arm, and the movie ends with the cop's explanation of his dream.

What is going on?

Blame it on the writers strike :ne_nau:

That must be why it is up for Best Picture, it seems to me that there has to be some sort of shock factor, or you have to leave the theater trying to figure out what was going on for a movie to be up for best picture. Sometimes I think they make the movie specifically with some weird never before done twist no one can figure out, just to get nominated.

So it shows the part vaguely of when the good guy dies, and I'm thinking it can't be him because they don't even show him being shot or anything. SO I'm expecting him to pop into the frame at any moment.

And then when I see the credits after Tommy Lee Jones' dream explanation, I was like WTF.....

but the question is, would you recommend seeing it.

PS, I've got this downloaded, great resolution. So I played it over again to see if I missed something.

Actually, that's exactly the part I paid attention to. He was trying to turn her down saying "beer leads to other things" and she says "beer leads to more beer".

So I'm thinking, did he get with this chick, so he wasn't in the place the killers thought he would be? I actually thought he lived because of that.

He doesn

Maybe they did that to set it up for episodes 4-5 then go back and start with 1-2 when Josh Brolin's character is born and all.

Or it's just the Cohen brothers and you can't really understand why they do what they do.

I saw the film and really liked it but left the theater in a bad mood cause I thought that they just bailed on the ending. I'd recommend it to others but caution them to not be disappointed in the ending. The best part was all the dirtbags getting what they deserved from the other psycho dirtbag. bad people killing bad people

But they show everybody else dead, but him, for some reason. Why?

Yeah it did show him dead.

Hell, they all look the same from that angle. For some reason, you're defending the plot's stupid turn for the worst.

To not even show it happening? What the hell? Did the budget run out?

Almost every friggin' one of those mexicans had mustaches, they all look alike in that movie.

See, now I'm even more confused. They had Christian Bale gain 20 lbs, and stand in for Josh Brolin!

Brolin looks like Christian Bale there, slightly more filled out in the face.
