Thought I'd share some of my pics from this year on the east coast.
First, though, here's a July Middle Provo beauty
Mine:

Buddies. He's moving out here to get away from you crazy asses, too.

'nother buddy.

Okay EC pictures.
These are from West Virginia. It was my first fishing trip out here. 3 hours from the house put me into the wilds of WV. No cell phone coverage, and handpainted no tresspassing signs. I heard banjos.....

I didn't catch alot, as I learned later that stocked fish like bright shiny flies, not the stuff I was used to throwing at Utah trouts.

In May we headed up to Penn's creek, PA.

Camp. Yes, Utahahns, those are trees. We have them everywhere, not just in the canyons and mountains.....

Next big trip was off to the James River. I got quite drunk floating in a canoe with my buddy. I took alot of pictures of the river skanks, but my wife deleted all of them. Bitch has no sense of humor.

Buddy decided I need to take a swim...along with all of our gear....

After that expedition, we wandered south to the South Holston. Its a tailwater in Eastern Tennessee. Great fishery, lots of fish, but they are fished hard and are a touchy finicky.

Fishing in the fog didn't help. First day I only caught one fish.

Second day brought better water, weather, and fishing.

Here and there I've done a few day trips. Caught over a dozen brookies the other day, but my camera wasn't working right.
I've taken the monkey out fishing. He loves it.

This is a "fall fish". biggest minnow in the minnow class of fish. They can grow to 20". Fiesty, aggressive and stupid.

Small mouth that succumbed to a BH Cinnamon Bugger, size 8.

Here's a litle fella that thought he was a big trout.

Typical creek in the Western part of the state:

Next month I expect to go fishing for Stripers in the Chesapeake. I will take loads of pics. Then in the spring the shad start rolling in. Weee!

'better believe it.
I'm quite stoked about the Striper trip. This time of year the big ones roll into the bay from the ocean, but the weather can be quite bad. It will be literally days before the trip before we even know if its on like donkey kong.
This is thieved from a website I've been hanging out at to learn more about the bay and fishing for real fish:
http://www.tidalfish.com/forums/attachments/northern-neck-virginia-angler/5085d1197899067-17-foot-mako-ghost-hole-rockfish.jpg
He said it was 38".
I've got the wife nailed down. I am buying a boat this year.
:fishing:
I'm looking at Trophy's 25', Albermarle's 26', Parker's 25', and a few others in that size range. I'll be hanging up my flyrod most of the time and heading into the bay for big, fat tasty salt water feesh.

Great pictures. If there are banjos playing the same time I'm fishing I'll be looking to move to WV also.

I am also starting to understand why you don't catch fish.

Those rivers back East look sweet. Pretty strict regs over there, eh?

Thanks for posting.
