Sure, it looks sturdy and has Chaco DNA, but the ankle cuff looks like a sand magnet and it might not drain all that well :ne_nau: . Any thoughts?

I knew Chaco was discussing the possibility of getting into a Canyoneering shoe. It will be interesting to see how these stack up. The look sturdy, which is what I like in my Canyoneering shoes. The ankle doesn't appear to be any more of a sand trap than 5.10's. It looks like they aren't going to be available to try out until February.

It doesn't look like a canyoneering shoe. I don't see any drain points and it appears a little on the light-duty side. I know Chaco puts out a good product but it looks a little weak. Just my opinion...

The desciption discribes it as a light hiker shoe. It doesn't look like a good shoe for the canyons to me.
