How many pics is this stitched? Did you shot this at 18mm on each one?

Also I think I have that same 70-300 sigma 4-5.6 lens. It is what I shot that first icicle shot with. It is great for marco like you mentioned.

Also I dig all the stark contrasty B&Ws posted, nothing like a good fresh snow fall for them.

I took 15 photos, but I believe I only used 12 of them, and yes, I shot them at 18mm.

What do you think of the sigma lens??

I really like it for marco like you said, and it really does ok in my opinion at 300mm even for action. Good job on that pano

Geez, I really like all these pics. I especially like the ones Walt and Carpey posted of the trees. The contrast of the white snow on the dark trees is awesome!

Here is a page from last winter's ice storm. Here in the Ada area we escaped the recent ice storm that hit the rest of Oklahoma so hard.

We're supposed to get our first big storm of the season this weekend and it got me thinking about last year's big storm. I was thumbing through some of those pics and thought I'd throw a few in here.

last Sunday we were out in the snow and spent an afternoon at Letchworth State Park. This small park with a few waterfalls was just an hour drive from Buffalo and the winter scenery was amazing. That day it wasn't too cold, only 22 F and we walked around for a while.

Yea, it's very nice down here right now. Back in Connecticut the high's are in the single digits :eek2: I have to head back up next week, I'm hoping it will warm up a little, then I'm back down here :2thumbs:

San Jacinto Peak, Ca

It was GORGEOUS up there! Actually this place is almost two miles shy of the peak. We would have needed ice ax & crampons to continue...this was my first time snow shoeing! I think I need to try back country skiing!
