Josh Groben does an excellent rendition of the song as well. My favorite songs are done by Kurt Bestor. His renditions (mostly instrumental) are hauntingly beautiful. If you're local (SLC area) catch one of his holiday concerts if you can.

My favorite songs are done by Kurt Bestor.

I have a hatred for Kurt Bestor. It's his wife's fault (x wife now). She was my English teacher in high school. She would always bring up how she was married to Kurt Bestor. Kurt Bestor did this, Kurt Bestor did that. Music is so great. She was like 60 and she wore tight clothes and she was all baked and wrinkly from the tanning beds. Her fake boobs were even gross, how do you do that? :ne_nau:

Actually sounds like a pretty apt description of Kurt as well... But yeah, I proudly refuse to support his endeavors as well.

Oh Holy night is one of my favorites too...and "We Three Kings"
but number one all time favorite is "The Little Drummer Boy".

And then there's the Pogues "Fairy Tale of New York", when I'm in the mood to hear something completely different. : )

I'm not familiar with his personal life, I just think his rendition of the carols is wonderful. I know that one of my personal favorite artists is Neil Young and from what I've read about him and his personal life, he's pretty much a shit - but I still like his music.

Speaking of "O, Holy Night", in Church last Sunday, a couple in our ward sang this song. They have both been members of the New York Metropolitan Opera Company- needless to say it was absolutely incredible! A couple of my favorites, besides the traditional songs, is an original by Amy Grant called "Breath of Heaven" and on the same Christmas CD is "Emmanuel, God With Us", both very good. A lighter favorite is another original by Harry Connick, Jr. called "It Must of Been 'Ol Santa Claus". Very jazzy and upbeat.
