How can it be for Beech it only has one picture?

This is a little out of hand I think. Can those teachers not think for themselves and just take away the knife and set up an appointment with the parents to tell them not to let their 10 year old bring steak knifes to school.

PS I know all teachers aren't like this and I think the teachers in our area are top notch (tree). No offense should be taken by my previous statement.

Thank you Columbine :mrgreen: Zero tolerance rules are a PIA in cases like this, especially when discretion (or common sense) cannot be used. But, no matter how much we may not agree with the outcome, the strict rules are in place to safeguard the teachers and kids.

It will most-likely be thrown out of court, since there was no threat. At least the court could use discretion in most cases.

Not sure an arrest was appropriate action in this case, but with all the crap we hear about almost daily, it was absolutely necessary to confiscate the knife and take action to get the parents' attention. I would not want my kid in the same class or cafeteria with such a weapon around. The little girl may not have mis-used it, but that wild kid who spotted it may have taken it from her.
