Who's on these? I'm on both, I sort of prefer Facebook just cause I get a ton of spam on Myspace cause I hate filtering things.

I'm on both, but don't really like either one. I'm married though and I'm guessing that's a factor in me not really liking them so much. Myspace is nice for finding old high school friends though.

Any time you log on to myspace you'll get a bunch of spam friend invites from spam profiles that are just fronts for webcam services etc...

That's not totally a joke.... :ne_nau:

I bet there is a lot of that there, but of course not all of it.

My kids and their friends have myspace pages and I peeked at some of the profiles of these kids and they have ages 18-30 :eek2: on them and they are 8 year olds! They grab photos from other places or use their sisters. One of the friends used my oldest daughters photo, who is drop dead gorgeous, but she is 13 --- looking like 25 in the shot! . I hit ignore on a bunch of the posts from older men even though the kids doing it were not mine.

Granted it's other places too, but I bet most people think of "myspace" as a place for young children and those that want to talk to them.

I have lots of friends on there and two of them are daughters of a woman I work with. I am on their case regularly to fix their page cause they are younger than they claim - and I tell their mom - yeah, Im a spoil sport but someones got to watch out for em. My two older boys are on there too and we all watch out for one another.I am forever filtering out spam though and it can be a pain. I keep my friends list to about 100 or less...dont have time to sit on there and just surf and I really only talk to about a dozen of them, most of which are really friends all over the country...I either went to school with or used to live around me. Lately, like on here though I have been too damn busy or working so I get a backlog of 'where you been?' :ne_nau: I'm flipping back and forth between here and there right now :haha: cause I need to leave and get some stuff done.

I hate Facebook and Myspace. Chaotic, poorly implemented, filled with unimaginative, boring people. Terrible, awful photography. I dumped Facebook altogether, but I hang on to my MySpace because there are a few people with whom that is my only connection.

I love both my Myspace and Facebook accounts because I have kept in touch with so many people this way. I use it to also track bands I like and performers that I like to go see (mainly dance). I am not on there to meet anyone new. Just keeping in touch with people that have common interests (Bogley friends) and my old friends (from Houston) and family members. :2thumbs:

Studying web design in school and working as a designer for a few years makes it difficult for me to look at most pages on those sites. Especially the backgorunds that some people choose on myspace and then the text that they lay on top of those horrid background and the layout in general. Disgusting. I guess that's why they call it "myspace."
