Hello, I'm a new member of this forum from the flatlands of Kansas. Since my first visit to Utah in the summer of 2003, I have become fascinated with the canyons of Utah. Second only to the Everglades, this is where I look for my yearly adventures. My son (age 21) and I are planning a spring break trip through Grand gulch, from Collins canyon to Kane gulch. We are hoping to share car shuttling duties with someone else doing a similar hike. Our planned dates are March 18 or 19 - 22.

Welcome. Since there is no water in KS, can I assume you paddle in the Everglades?

sparker1, there is some water here in the midwest, but it doesn't compare to Florida. Used to live in Tampa, when I taught at USF. Have paddled the everglades many times as well as other places in Florida. What a contrast the Utah canyons are compared to Florida, but just as lovely in its own way.
