How lame is the color scheme for outlook 2oo7! I have yet to open anything else in the new office because I am scared... very scared. I feel like outlook is about to say "congratulations its a boy" any second now.

Use

Mozilla Thunderbird (http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/thunderbird/)
It's a much better program it's free, and you can customize it the way you want.

If you are interested in trying, and happen to be a student, you can purchase and download MS Office 2007 Ultimate Edition (That's the biggest and baddest MS offers) for $59.99

http://www.theultimatesteal.com/home.asp

The purchase is good for installation on one desktop and one mobile device (laptop) used by the same primary user. You must have a valid .edu email address, and be able to provide proof of student status should Microsoft request it.

I did this a few weeks ago. It's taken me a little getting used to, but I like the new look. There are some nice feature upgrades too.

Or anybody can download OpenOffice (www.openoffice.org) at http://www.openoffice.org/ for free, It has most everything thas MS Office has & the best part about it is you don't have to support Microsoft. The only thing that I noticed it don't have is an equal to FrontPage. It can handle anything else the Office can.

I use openoffice. I bought office suite 2007 for like 20 bucks. I like it much better than microsoft office.

A note to those who may not know. Office 07 was made to go with Vista. In case you don't know, Vista has done away with Outlook Express and gone with a new program, Windows Mail. Because of this, if you go with Office 07 and use Outlook Express, you'll notice one major detail. Your spell check doesn't work anymore. Wanna know why?

Because Outlook Express (OE) uses the spell checker incorporated into MS Word. Office 07 is not compatible with OE, therefore, the spell checker will default to the one that comes with OE. Now here's the kicker. The spell checker that COMES with OE is only available in French. So, you actually have to go online and download a new spell check software that will incorporate itself into OE. A good one that's free can be located here. http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=2952

How convenient! That's much easier than Mac OS X, in which every user has to put up with a fully-equipped program, Mail, that has spell-check built in.
