zion this weekend

hey guys i'm looking for a fun canyon this weekend to do with a group of 6. we've done neon, englestead/orderville, echo, and a couple others... we're going to zion's to do pine creek, keyhole, and the subway on friday and saturday, we're looking for a little longer one on sunday. around parunaweep or like oak creek. any beta on a 3B II or III outside the park would be awesome!

Hey Dan,

Welcome to the forum. Might be a bad weekend in Zion. Subway will be closed this weekend due to a burn, and the ACA is having a huge canyoneering rendezvous as well. Permits will be hard to get, and crowds substantial.

Fat Man's is a good option if you are set on going. Maybe Birch Hollow too. Oak is pretty well off limits nowadays (see Oak thread).

As Dan says... Birch! I love this one. Fun downclimbs and little water and no permit needed.
