Escalante region and fall colors?

Any fall color reports from the Escalante area?
I've been dropping in on this website
http://www.fs.fed.us/r4/conditions/fallcolors.shtml
From their latest update it looks like the upper elevations are lighting up.

But I'm mostly wanting to know about the canyons.

Usually mid October, Columbus day weekend is usually a good one. My experience is when you drive along the eastern belt of 215 in Salt Lake, and most of the green leafy trees in the valley are changing, the cottonwoods in Escalante and other areas are changing. Main canyon in Zion usually not till November, but most everywhere else, October.
