Solo'd the Teton Crest trail early last week. Met some wonderful people and saw some awesome sights.

Put in at Granite Canyon on Sunday, 9/9 up to the Teton Crest trail and came out Paintbrush Canyon on Wednesday (early) 9/12.

Temps got really cold Sat evening at Marion Lake, some light sleet late afternoon. But after that the weather was perfect. Haze caused poor photo quality but maybe it is just my poor clicking skills (we can't all be Tanya). My pace was faster than planned. I packed for 4 solid days but was out very early that 4th day. High point was Painbrush Pass at 10,700. The Death Canyon Shelf was really cool. Lots of Marmont playing up there. Plenty of water access, helped keep the load light.

Hello to John and Jodi (newlyweds from San Diego) I bunked next to at Marion Lake the first night. And a shout out to Tim from Connecticut who hooked up with me at the Basin Lakes and finshed the hike out.

Good people. Great time, and the best trip. Enjoy.

Great lookin' trip. Always wanted to do a neat loop like that.

Nice shot of the "backside" of les trois tetons.
