Did anybody catch the program on food network that showed how Mountain House food was made? I don't recall the name of the show but it basically shows you how certain foods are made and they had a whole episode on "outdoor" foods. It was pretty interesting how they freeze dry it. Until then I had no idea how this was done. I didn't know this but Mountain House started out making MREs for 'Nam in the '60s, and then switched to commercial foods after the war was over.

I'll have to see if I can find a link to the episode when I get home tonight.

I watch food network all the time and I missed this one. Food Network has to be one of my favorite channels.

it was probably the show called "Unwrapped" I love that show. I can't find it online though.

I think your right. It has Mark Summers or something like that. I just remember him as being the guy that hosted double dare back when I was a kid.
