So I have no motivation to go to the gym to work out. I live five minutes from the mouth of Big Cottonwood Canyon so I usually will pick a trail a couple times a week and depending on how much time I have either hike to the end of it, or just go until I feel like I got a good workout and turn around. I never post TR's because I do it so often, however this last trip was super fun so I figured I'd write something real quick. I went up the scrambling route Shane has on his website to the top of Mt. Superior, or Monte Cristo, or whatever you call it. It is just like Shane described, good quality rock, nothing so hard you need a rope, but some serious exposure! Super cool and super fun. Anyone know of other quality scrambles like this one? This is probably the best I've done. A few pics from my first attempt that ended in lightning forcing me back (which sucked, I don't recommend the dirty gully I took to get back down) and this morning when I actually made it to the top.
