NOT...but at least i have your attention :lol8:
Have spent a lot of time looking arround and what a nice site full of interesting people and information. I'm leaving for the desert southwest from FL in three weeks or so and planning to stay through the end of october. Have hiked/backpacked a lot of spots in Utah. Looking to learn some rock skills, have equipment but need training, help! Also thinking about bringing a boat for lake powell adventures but would like to sell it (2003 Caravelle 187) while in utah...any ideas?? Definitely bringing my mountain bike. One big question i need help with...my job requires fairly high speed internet connectivity every day...will this be an issue in southeast utah (lake powell, escalante, hanksville, green river and moab), the arizona strip (kanab and north rim), north west new mexico (san juan area, grand gultch). Also any pilots here? All info appreciated. Wingman

How about the places to stay near there, are the motels all advertising free connectivity or do you have to have a regular provider? Are there starbucks with free connections or do you have to subscribe to a provider's hotspots?

I wish I could tell you where to ride in Fruita, I've yet to be there.
You've gotta do Slickrock in Moab, then Porcupine, then Amassa Back if you have time.

Thanks, will be in moab for 3 weeks so will be sure to hit those...its been over a year since my last visit and i have been working on my bike skills (and physical condition) so as to be able to do slick rock.

What a silly question. No one fesses up to being a Hurricane or Semi-hole fan these days. Welcome to another Florida Gators fan. When I am in Utah, I stay in RV parks and usually have free WIFI. I suspect it's not too hard to find in motels and such. Good luck and enjoy your visit.

Couple "pilots" (like Richard Barron and I), and some real pilots - jet jockeys - around here. (And, I think, just one controller now that Jamis Jockey isn't around anymore...)
When in Kanab, drop in at the Subway whenever required for the free internet connection. I was thrilled to find that!!! Hell, just park in the lot outside (though I always enjoy a Subway sub...)
Welcome!
