OOPS HOAX!

* Two moons on 27 August
27th Aug is the night the Whole World is waiting for. Planet Mars will be the brightest point in the night sky starting August. It will look as large as the full moon to the naked eye. This will culminate on Aug. 27 when Mars comes within 34.65M miles of earth.

Be sure to watch the sky on Aug. 27 12:30 am. It will look like the
earth has 2 moons. The next time Mars may come this close is in 2287.

Share this with your friends as NO ONE ALIVE TODAY will ever see it again.

While we are talking about moons... The real sight to see will be on August 28th. Full Lunar eclipse for us utahns. Totality Baby!

I've never seen one, so it should be fun. Maybe we should have a photography party for it?

As large as the full moon? Hmm....This was an email I got. So I hope it's not a hoax. I might have put a little to much trust in it. We'll see. :ne_nau:

I'd be up for that. If I'm reading the NASA Eclipse page (http://sunearth.gsfc.nasa.gov/eclipse/OH/OH2007.html) correctly the full eclipse should be around 3:30 AM. I'm going to be bleary-eyed at work the next day.

Hey now. No more of that kinda talk around here. (Unless it's about a Hello Kitty Darth Vader or Shane eating a hotdog).

Damn that's a good looking moon. I'm sure there will be plenty of other opportunities in the Swell this weekend.

A good friend of mine calls the flat slab near the Imlay Sneak and peak route off of the west rim trail "Two Moon Point". Because late one night after an epic, rain filled hike out the Sneak and Peak he looked over to see me and another guy with our pants down changing and drying out. He says our asses were framed perfectly in the night sky. Now that i think about it, it sounds kind of gay. In fact this never happened, i just made it up......
