No reason to go 1080p. No broadcasts and I don't have HD or BR players or the uber consoles. 720p is totally rocks my world for now. When 1080p broadcast goes full stream, then it might be a good idea to upgrade. Extra $700 for the 1080p just doesn't make sense to me :ne_nau:

I thought most of the OTA stuff was 1080i..... I know my DISH Network player outputs as 1080i...


If you ever put your computer on it you will want the higher resolution.

You will never notice the difference unless you but two TV's and place them side by side in your home, I have a 42 inch 1080 lcd upstairs and a 62 inch plasma downstairs and I would much rather watch the 62 720 downstairs and I like the color better from the Plasma at 720 it looks more realistic.
