I was not sure where to post this, so I figured General Discussion was about right.
If you are on Route 70 near the Kansas border, stop in the town of Genoa, CO, and visit The Tower. The thing was constructed in the 20s and is now run as a viewpoint/museum/antique shop. We now make the Tower a regular stop in and out of Utah from VA. The guy that runs the place, Jerry, is a lot of fun to talk to. There's a million things to photograph, some strange, some unique, and the views from the top of the tower are fantastic.
It's only a buck to get in. Just don't ask to use the bathroom.
