still too much to spend just to play nintendo games I think. I remember when I got the N64, I thought that cost too much. I'm a cheapskate :haha:

disclaimer: I play my brother in laws xbox, I'm also a moocher.

I paid $399 for my 360, an extra $100 for extended warranty, and $50 per year for XBL. Its the price you have to pay for high quality.

You should see how pretty GOW or Halo3 is in 720p or 1080i... :2thumbs: Makes the n64 look like an etch a-sketch.

I did buy the first xbox and love it. now my bro in law has the 360 elite. Love the graphics on it. I haven't played halo on it yet but we have played some others that impressed me.
I have to admit, if I didn't have so many hobbies I would buy one. It seems like there is always something else to buy for camping, fishing, paintball, canyoneering, etc. I guess I will have to be happy with mooching for now.

I am waiting for the Halo 3 Special Edition Console. My white one is lame.

I got 2 360's for a grand total of $300. Craigslist and KSL are your friend...there are frequently people selling them to pay rent, drug habits, or who knows what else that will take well below their listed price.

Really? Not bad. Maybel I need to start taking advantage of the stoned, needy, and stoopid. Wonder how the warranty works in this case?

In that case I dont think it works at all.... unless its never been registered.

With the "ring of death" (http://editorials.teamxbox.com/xbox/1651/The-Red-Ring-of-Death/p1/) issue i would suggest getting a new one. I have my 360 for 6months before I got the ring of death and MS gave me a brand new one with 3 year warranty.
