I flew (drove really fast :haha: ) up I-70 to Grand Junction to pick up my buddy's girlfriend. I didn't feel like taking 70 back and felt like a little sightseeing trip on the way back. We didn't have to be back for a few hours, she didn't want to hang out at the show, so I looked at the map and decided that it was doable without being on 70. I took 50 south out of Grand Junction and then to 141 south to 90 west and when you cross into Utah it becomes 46 right back to 191. Like always, I wish I had more time.

All kinds of things to see like the Driggs Mansion, Hanging Flume and Uranium Mines. Watch out for those "Range Cattle", some of those things you don't want to hit :haha:

Wow, I had no idea all that stuff was out there. The flume alone is awesome, but the old mine works and ruins are interesting too. Next time I'm in the mood for a road trip, this will be high on my list. Thanks for posting it!

You're welcome. Some of those mines look like they are still being used. Then there are a few getting into Utah. The scenery was awesome, those are just a few pics that I took, I just wish the sun was out for that trip. I think traveling south more (where 141 meets 90, 145 continues south) on 145 heading towards Telluride and then onto 491 back into Utah and 191 would have been even better, I just didn't have that kind of time.

Thanks for posting, JP. That is the road I have been planning to drive this visit, among others I've had on the list. Appreciate the pics, too.
