Decent use of "the rule of thirds" on the first and last shot. Good overall composition and exposure comp. Like how the raft is there as a point of reference to the size of the river and rock cliff.
On the last the start contrast of the forground to the rays shooting through the clouds makes the shot more interesting.

Jury is out on the second, composition is a little cluttered to my eye. I dont find one point that grabs the viewer. The sky is kinda drab, I would have tried to hit it a GND filter, adjust the levels and hit it with some contrast. I played with it a little bit and let me know what you think.

Hey its no problem. Many factors dont always go our way, but you have to keep on a keeping on with it. You can try different angles, high/low, go horizonial/vertical, different techniques with the camera, exposure comp, ISO, apature and shutter priority and dont be afraid to break the rules. Also dont be satisifed with one shot, take many. The biggest problem I had to over come with was that I had to realized I was limited by my camera and you usually only get about 1 good one to 10 bad and 1 great one to 20 or so shots(all approximates). Lastly dont be ashamed to touch up your work in photoshop if it needs it.
