Our last upgrade (http://uutah.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5369) was in February and I thought we would last longer than this. If you have seen the white screen of death with the associated errors below, it is because we have outgrown yet another server. For the techies, we are hitting over 60 server processes, and when this happens, it means that we have exceeded our account limit. Anyway, I will be working on moving us to a VPS (virtual private server). These VPS boxes are the best out there and really the only way to fly with a site like this. Shared hosting has its limitations.

If you want to throw some donation love at uutah cause you just cant live without the place. Click here (http://uutah.com/support_uutah.php) or hit the donation banner. I really appreciate all those that have donated in the past. No one HAS to donate, its a personal choice. Thanks for your support.

We're getting a lot more traffic than we expected, which is a good thing.

But if our current server can't handle it, I will be forced to reduce the amount of traffic per day, by creating more bum crack videos - in every forum.

Either that, or we can push for that new server. :2thumbs:

Who are you looking to host with? I picked up a really nice VPS package from SLhost in the hosting offers forum over at WHT: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?f=104

Also, do your google ads convert? I'd think that the backcountry.com affiliate program and a nice reminder about the link every once in a while would do a lot better then adsense... something to think about. :D

Photos must take up a huge amount of memory... would deleting photos from old threads help?

I think that's more of a bandwidth issue, which we aren't having any problems. It's the "Server processes" simultaneously. So it's possible to have a lot of members lurking at one time, it just depends what each one of them is doing.
