If we're gonna start with Bands....

I love Erasure! But, the embarassing part is that I listen to them in my car really loud, until I stop at a light. Then I turn it waaay down.

For awhile there I really liked watching Will & Grace. I also really liked watching Trading Spaces, and not just because Paige was hot.

What the hell happened to you as a kid? Maybe you should see a therapist or something, because that is the most depressing list of bands ever. I mean, seriously, how can you feel good listening to that?

My secret? I've NEVER purchased an CD in my life. Not one. I bought three cassettes in junior high school, but haven't bought an album since.

BUT - a sensitive male.

Hey, I've liked (on and off, over the years) all of them - especially the Smiths. No one could combine catchy, upbeat pop sounds, full of hooks (Johnny Marr = guitar god), with morbid, miserable lyrics (Morrissey = lyrical god) like the Smiths.

My embarassing secret? That I don't have one - I let it all hang out. I am a liberal, atheist, sensitive male who prefers the environment over recreational opportunities (hey, take your flames elsewhere!) and I don't care who knows it!

OK, maybe one small secret. Did you know that they have free PORN on the internet!?!? You'd be amazed!

Since most people seem to be 'fessing up to embarrassing CDs and such, here is the most embarrassing CD I own, but it doesn't count because I bought it in the 80s when Miami Vice was hot and so was he. :haha:

Don Johnson's "Heartbeat"

However, I just recently saw it for sale on Amazon.com with only 6 available and the starting price was $37.95. :eek2: Maybe I need to scan through my older CDs.

No.....just thankful. :haha:

OK......I am just kidding for those of you who like the music of the above mentioned bands. I actually liked the song "West End Girls" from the Pet Shop Boys. :ne_nau:

Umm... Depeche Mode is one of my all time favorite bands! I am SOooo not embarrassed to listen to them loud in my car... Unless it's "Somebody" that i'll turn down in record time. Petshop Boys I would turn them down too! The Smiths tho, I luv them too! I am also a big fan of The Cure... and The The... my best friend laughs at me that I listen to The The, and I like it!

Wow...I didnt know anyone else who had heard of the The...
...I could give you quite a list of bands I have in my library that are on 'the list' but I have to listen to them with the windows up
...I have every, and I mean EVERY, piece of music put out by A-Ha...even their live stuff.
BUT, really, there have GOT to be more embarrasing 'secrets' out there - I say this before I put one of my most truly ebarrasing ones on here :haha:

I too have all of the A-Ha albums... just not their live stuff... although, I might have to double check that one to be sure. I have a very large music collection at my finger tips. Everything from Depeche Mode to Madonna to Billie Holliday to William Orbit to Pink Floyd to Van Halen to... etc.. etc... I could go on and on... I guess I should say that I just love music.

Now... something more embarassing hmmm, I'll have to think about that one.

The first two albums (that's right kids, albums, flat, black, vinyl discs, delivered in a piece of art with real liner notes) I ever bought, I mean really bought, went out with my bad twelve year old self and plunked down lawn mowing money for, were:
Donna Summer-Bad Girls
Olivia Newton John-Totally Hot

I blame it on hormones, and what was in the theatres at the times. In my own defense, one of those girls was bad, and the other was totally hot. But still...

I, partially at least, redeemed myself soon after with my third album purchase:
Cheap Trick-Live at Budokan.

Guess which one of the three I still have.

..Erasure/POP!...

I have 3 older sisters...so Erasure, especially the POP! CD is one of my guilty pleasures. Toss Chicago in there as well. I find myself recognizing and enjoying a LOT of girly music that I know I never chose to play, just stuff that was constantly coming from my sister's rooms.

The one that sounds best in the background when your new air compressor's going! :2thumbs:

Of course, with the new welder, maybe it's "Totally Hot!"
