That was spectacular. I am very impressed. My 360 had to go to the factory for warranty work, the ups guy showed up yesterday when I wasn't home, so hopefully I'll see it today. Since it's been gone I have leveled up from a 27 inch old projection tv to a new Sony Wega 55 Inch HD tv, I can't wait to play the system on it.

My 360 arrived at the repair center on 6/28 and they have yet to send the unit back.... getting pissed. It worked fine for 6 months, i was mid game and got the ring of death! At lest the Halo3 beta was complete.. or i would of exploded.

Halo 2 alone looks better in HD, I can't imagine a halo that actually has HD content.

I cant wait for this, I also just upgraded to a 65' lcd This is going to be bad ass, i might loose my job when this comes out due to being tired everyday from playin all night!

Its SOOOO pretty! The matchmaking menus are so crisp and clean compared to h2.
It was a bit tricky to get the new button layout down.... but it was tricky going back to h2 after the beta.

I'm on XBL several times a week. Used to do a lot of Halo but i've moved on to Rainbow Six:Vegas which is stunning. Shoot me a friend request (Vegasarch) and we'll get a UUTAH thingy going.

The X/blue button no longer reloads or performs actions like getting into a vehicle or picking up a new weapon. Its now used to deploy your "equipment".
The right bumper on the 360 controller take the place of the halo 1 and 2 X button. This make the reload on H3 just like Gears Of War (of course no active reload).
Here is where it gets cool.... to dual wield a weapon you need to use the left bumper to pick up the weapon (when you have a dual wield able weapon in your right hand). When you are dual wielding you use the left bumper to reload the weapon in your left hand and the right bumper to reload the weapon in your right hand. This is badass because you can time your reloads in those sticky situations.


Equipment adds to the depth of the game big time.

Bubble Shields

It is great for Territories, and very useful if you are getting sniped or BR'd form a distance. Any player can walk in and out of a bubble shield.... bullets and nades just cant get in.

Trip Mines
I would not be too surprised if these don't make the final game. You toss one on the ground and wait for someone's to walk, drive or shoot in it and it make a big explosion. Best use for the trip mine is to place right at the base of your own flag on CTF this way when other team comes to snag your flag they will blow up. Unless they shoot the trip mine from a safe distance.
The bad thing about trip mines is if a teammate walks on one and dies the person who placed it get the betrayal.

Energy Drainer -

When one is dropped it creating a prox field that will drain the shield of anyone close by. I tossed one into the base on Valhalla took down everyone's shields, tossed and nade and few BR shots "Killtacular!" WOOT.

Pretty sweet to get over walls... or toss in the ground in front of a speeding mongoose or warthog.

In the video posted here there is a piece of equipment that was not in the beta... unless they change the HUD icon for one of the items I listed above.

Oh man I like that ability to reload each weapon separately so you're not stuck with no weapons when you reload, then wham some dude comes around the corner.

That rocks.
The biggest set back in the button layout is the communicate button. Taking the time to press the D-pad in game is a pain in the ass! It destroys the flow of the game BIG TIME!
So many people have been bitching about this... I would bet the will include an "mic always on" (like in GOW) option in the final release.

First it would just freeze in the middle of the game, and after countless attempts to fix that, then came the red ring of death. But praise the lord It came UPS yesterday. However it is a brand new one, I'm not complaining I guess they couldn't fix mine. I think there must of been a massive breakdown of units I'm hearing a lot are going back to the factory.

Oh, man does my 360 run good now, there must of been something wrong with the original from the get go because it made all sorts of noises and took forever to load a game.
As far as the new bike gos I just had Skyline in Ogden replace the springs in the jr. t for my weight it still has 2-3" of sag, but it's a lot better than it was, and a hell of a work out to ride. I can ride my gt hard tail pulling a trailer with a child and Pekingnese twice as easy has riding that DH bike.
