I doubt it. I tried bringing a shrimp po-boy on the plane in New Orleans and it was confiscated. I figured what the hell.......they don't feed you anymore on the airlines. :ne_nau: Odds are, someone in airport security enjoyed my po-boy for their lunch.

You can take it on the plane if you buy it in the terminal, but you can't take it through TSA.

I believe pinto beans are on the TSA restricted items list. Go for the black beans.
I once had a lockpick set taken away from me in Vegas. When I protested the woman got all irritated. When I asked her if I she wanted my shoelaces because they could be used as a garrote she told me that if I'm going to be sarcastic she wouldn't let me fly.
If it's sealed you might be able to. I just went through the security last weekend with a formula bottle, luckily it was sealed and the guy told me it was ok. But the dude behind me had about 4oz of water in his nalgene bottle and boy did he get shaken down! :lol8:

I have taken a carna asada burrito thru security many times. Last time was 7 months ago. I've even taken two at a time before. I took hamburgers thru as well. Most they are concerned with is gels, liquids, and such. I never try and take drinks/gels thru is all. Solid food, yes. My burritos always make it thru. One guy told me that is not a problem, well, unless you LOAD the entire thing with over 3 ounces of sour cream, then they might confiscate it! :haha:

Sounds like it could go either way then.... maybe I should just down the sucker before I approach TSA.

Interesting. The airport I work at encourages you to get your food for take-out, to take onboard your flight. Granted, it's Canada and we're slightly insane, but still, we really do toe the US line when it comes to airline security. Our CATSA try their best to be your TSA. There are signs throughout the food court on the International Departures level saying to take your food to fly. Pizza, Greek, Sushi, BK...

My wife reminded me last night that when we flew out of Denver a few weeks ago they wouldn't allow any outside food or drink through the security check. But, that was in DEN, and I'm sure SLC has a whole different set of arbitrary rules and regulations. (On the whole I've found SLC to be a lot more lax than other airports when it comes to the security check).
