Read my post again. Watch, not wallet was stolen. You can see it on his wrist near the beginning, then it's not there later.

But White House spokesman Tony Snow said Bush's watch was not stolen by someone in the crowd. "The president put it in his pocket and it returned safely home," Snow said Tuesday.

This may be true, but at 3:10, there is definitely someone trying to steal the watch. It looks like the thief was succesful, but it also looks like Bush slips his left hand into his pocket, so maybe he did put it in there.

But how would he have put it in there without using his other hand to unlatch the clasp? Man, this is more confusing than the magic loogie incident with Keith Hernandez...
