Another easy camping trip with the boys, it ruled. Mirror Lake highway totally open, minimal amounts of people, fantastic weather and I got to hang out around the campfire with my IPOD and some very fine Grateful Dead after the boys went to sleep, hehe. Here are a couple pix:

Very cool... I love that area up there. I have some good memories of my first trip with my dad up there when I was 11. Hope your boys had a good time.

Your avatar is misleading, by the way.

Yep, they both bitched me out for it being just one night. I'm actually taking them on a week long all Utah excursion at the end of July.

LOL! That is the joke behind it, I'm sort of a regular type, family guy that likes to rage now and then (in private).

Did you pack in?
I am looking for a cool place to take my 7 year old for a two nighter with fishing nearby.

Thought about China Meadows or Christmas meadows. Any other suggestions?

Pack in around five miles would't be a problem, since I will have most of the weight.

I'd do the same area again this weekend if it stays in the mid 80s here. Plenty of near by lakes you can just drive to along the highway. I liked having a bathroom close by cause with a 4 and 7 year old I get plenty of false alarms. I plan on a couple back packing trips just with the 7 year old, that is such a great age to start them.
